This is Matt coming to you from North Bend, where the weather is cold and the trees are a changing quickly to their Fall colors.

As we head into our 126th episode of Classic Movie Reviews, we’ve been thinking a lot about how we want to evolve the show over the next few years. We want to build on what we’ve done so far with the podcast. We love watching and talking about movies and we love hearing from you.

We want to do more!

We want to continue to improve our audio experience. This means purchasing some new equipment and setting aside more time to devote to the show. This also means more content!

We need some help from you our listeners to make this a success.

So we’ve decided to launch on Patreon!

What is Patreon you ask? Many of you may be familiar with Patreon from other podcasts or YouTube channels. Patreon is a community of creators and fans. It allows fans of our podcast to access more content and interact with us and each other in new ways. And it allows you to support the show with a monthly subscription.

Some things stay the same, for instance, we’ll continue to release two free public shows every month.

Some things will change! We’re adding two additional shows every month for our community on Patreon.

We have three tiers of support:

Tier 1 is $1 a month and you’ll receive a shout out on the show and you’ll get every public show a week earlier than the regular feed. You’ll also have access to the Patron only comments for the public shows.
Tier 2 is $4 a month and has the same benefits as Tier 1 plus you’ll receive a patron-only bonus review show every month. That’s 3 shows a month.
Tier 3 is $7 a month with the same benefits as Tier 2 plus a bonus patron-only content show. These will be special episodes and will vary by month. That’s 4 shows a month!

We’re launching on Patreon on October 24th with “The Ghost Breakers” as our Bonus Review Show at Tier 2 and “The 40th Anniversary of Alien” as our Bonus Content episode at Tier 3. These two shows will be ready to go when you sign up. Right away you’ll have access to two Patron only shows when you subscribe at Tier 3 on October 24th!

And every month afterward, we’ll have a bonus show and a bonus content show.

We’re both very excited to embark on this new chapter of the our podcasting journey together with you! Here’s to many more years of happy movie watching!
